I am in my 6^th year of teaching. All here at Aikin and in PISD!

I was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. My little sister is a senior at Texas A&M University where she is studying Astrophysics. I grew up with teacher parents; my mom was a 1^st/2^nd grade teacher – now a librarian – and my dad is a percussion director and assistant band director for 6th through 12th graders. They have both been teaching for almost 30 years! On my mom's side of the family, teaching goes back about 4 generations. So, it always must have been in the plans for me to be in a classroom! I am a 5th generation teacher. 

I enjoy cross-stitching, baking, being involved and serving at my church, hanging out with friends, and reading in my free time.
