This is my 13th year teaching! I previously taught 1^st grade for 2 years at Hugo Elementary School. It’s my 11th year in Music 2 at Aikin Elementary. I’m only half of the music duo though! The other half is the Music 1 teacher, Mrs. Lara.

I previously taught at Hugo Elementary as a 1st grade teacher for 2 years. Prior to that, I taught dance classes, gymnastic classes, summer camps, subbed for PISD and was also a TAKS tutor for the district.

I got married in October of 2020 to my husband, Matthew Allen. Our son, Hollis, will be turning two soon in September! We have a pup named Olive and two shop cats, Skaggs and Bitty! Our family is small, but I think it’s pretty perfect! Fun fact: my husband and I are both former Wildcats!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, our families, dabbling in crafts, going outside, reading, playing games and planting flowers.
