This is my 12th year teaching! I previously taught 1^st grade for 2 years at Hugo Elementary School. It’s my 10th year in Music 2 at Aikin Elementary. I’m only half of the music duo though! The other half is the Music 1 teacher, Ms. Tullos.

I previously taught at Hugo Elementary as a 1st grade teacher for 2 years. Prior to that, I taught dance classes, gymnastic classes, summer camps, subbed for PISD and was also a TAKS tutor for the district.

I got married in October of 2020 to my husband, Matthew Allen. Our son, Hollis, will be turning one soon in September! We also have two shop cats, Skaggs and Bitty! Our family is small, but I think it’s pretty perfect! Fun fact: my husband and I are both former Wildcats!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our son, our families, dabbling in crafts, going outside, reading, playing games and planting flowers.
